October Report

I went to Qigong and we were talking about getting spiritual energy but accidently leaving your body to waste away. It’s been a point of frustration for me. My trainer showed me a fairly simple move for my back and legs. It is good but it will take a few weeks to take effect. It is working but the problem has taken root from months of inconsistencies and just sticking to the cultivation exercises. My spirit is good, the energy is good but I can’t afford to leave my body behind as I age.

Also my body is changing and the work I do has become a bigger physical burden on me. I really feel it these days. I am getting weaker but it is gradual. Also bigger more involved moves help but I almost need to follow a less aggressive path. The new move which I have seen variations of is better suited for where I am at the moment. I am doing it a few times a day and it is exactly what I have needed. Other than that things have been fairly smooth.

I had a busy weekend. I was at a small rave at the Burdekin with a friend and Saw Michelle for lunch the next day. Then I went to Qigong. Slept most of Sunday and saw a musical called ‘Dangerous When Wet’ at Randwick Town Hall with family and family friends. It was well done and amusing. Went for dinner then had a late night followed by an early start for work. I was going to go to life drawing but really needed to go shopping and Tuesday night I have an afterwork work meeting.

This weekend is the Surplus Supply store fair in Darlinghurst, a kind of hipster magnet with heaps of publications. It is really interesting and I should try and join the Supply store with my own publications but I am not sure if that would work for me or them. I don’t really have that uber cool recognition. I am hoping the Non De Plume publishers are at this event because I don’t use credit cards on the net. I would prefer to pay in person.
