Back to work! Stop this nonsense!

I was playing around with live recording on and off from 2015 to 2018 and then dropped everything audio because I was dealing with wires and stuff everywhere. It never really worked out anyway and as Covid approached I got right into video logs and painting on paper and canvas. I did readings of my books and my poetry work. All of that stuff has lived on YouTube since. Some of it I revisited recently and it was a good period.

In 2020 I wrote a Martian diary session on this blog and it was in two parts. A kind of summary of the plague times. After doing my latest sound drama Sunday night I decided to do the Martian diaries on Monday as it is a public holiday. The hardest part of doing this type of slapstick stuff is not having a laugh in the middle of it.

My brother in law was telling his boss that people who tell a lot of jokes (he is the ultimate Dad joke extraordinaire) are normally clinically depressed. His boss looked at him in the most dead pan way and said ‘you don’t have to worry, as you are not funny.’ I think I have the same clout as my brother in law. I should be clinically depressed but gladly dodged that bullet by not being funny.

But it is so much fun. Most long weekends and holidays are a dangerous time because my now vacant normally overworked brain can have ideas. Ideas are dangerous and can lead to great embarrassment. Lets see what happens next time I am free to think. Or maybe lets not!
