I am listening to the full double LP of KRSONE’s ‘Sound of Da Police’. Makes you realise how flexible the sounds and delivery of the album is. I don’t think I have ever sat down and listened to this era of KRS’s work in full. I have a few digital albums of his work that are from the past few years. All classics. I have a couple of signed CDs as well.
I was looking at some of my output from this year and I really found a good simple raw approach when I was in heavily graffitied spots. What a mess but it seemed to work so forget about popularity and embrace the obscurity and zero dollar glory. The problem is if I stop painting outdoors I will turn into a blob. I need to keep moving.
Over a week ago I got a simple back fix, really taking the pressure off my lower back. I do it in the morning and at night. Got the proper feeling back in my legs. I still need a bit more and because it is easy I might just make it a staple move. No nerve pain either. Because I am lifting quite a lot over 20 plus years, stuff gets out of whack. I am also being very careful and if I overdo it I can do the move.
The real problem at the moment is having too much to do. Like there are gatherings and so forth which are really special but they are on a weeknight and then you’re just getting enough sleep. Two events fall in a row this week and one I have wanted to go to for months which I think I might just go to anyway. Yet it all cuts into physical training and rest. This has been a big issue all year which may be why I only do a legit training session at Qigong class.
All my other training is just maintenance. Do you struggle against the natural flow of this year, which is minimal routines and constant change. Or do you just adjust to your capacity and try not to overdo it. I am all about the flow and it is interesting to see what people are cooking up creatively. Yet stop start stop start over and over. That is the way it is. Embrace the chaos and savour the solitude when it comes.
