Text browser

I had to find all of my poems on my blog a month or two ago. There were not that many on the site. Because I am lazy with tags on my site I had to manually search the site. There were nearly ten years of blog posts to go through. I ended up using a text based browser called ‘links’ which you can use natively on Linux or if you use Windows on WSL (Windows subsystem for Linux). It made the process a breeze and it also meant I could zip through the whole site and see what I had posted over the years. It took about an hour or two to find all of the poems and save them in plain text so I could transfer them to my LaTeX file ready for publishing. I could tell which were good years and bad years of blogging from having to go through it. There was one year where I hardly posted anything and others where I went ballistic.
