Power of writing

I had a quick writing session and I find that I need to keep things short. It was difficult because I didn’t want to get tied into my own emotions or feel like I was justifying this or that. I just wanted to get to the point. To make the reader possibly think about the whole situation. It is hard because I remember things but it is interesting to see the whole situation and surmise on what things really meant. What was the point of this or that. How did they speak to the character and what was the character trying to say through their actions?

I sometimes have a habit of reading a lot into things but that can help as a writer because you give a different perspective and that is the point to my whole book. To see the everyday stories in a different light. That is the real power of writing.
