The main explanation of this painting, is that Western interests try to mirror their values onto China. China is not an imperialist or colonialist country so the Western media and other power structures try to damage China’s reputation with their own reflection. They suspect that China will try to use imperial and colonialist logic. This though is simply the Western reflection of its own intentions.
