The artists hand

The photographers idea was more archival and not actually done by my hand which I really like. It was a purely conceptual piece. But what it has given me practically is a whole lot of other directions that include my hand though it is there only as a process and the piece becomes an object. It brings a whole gamut of directions in my work that needed clarity and some more thought. The materials are broader but the end result will probably be framed. What is great about it is it doesn’t muddy the waters in regard to all the different approaches I take. In fact it makes little difference what all my mess of approaches do in relation to each other. The first foray is small pieces of torn paper that have been sprayed on both sides. Each fragment or piece encapsulates a moment, a memory that essentially hides what is behind it. The pieces are literally torn apart from the larger work and other arty musings
