I remember an acquaintance and his Instagram stories (he was in his mid 50s and spiritual although strangely aggressive at times). They were full of new age tropes and women in these stories were always wearing flowing dresses and were full of mystery and spiritual looks. He was a staunch masculine guy and he didn’t objectify women. Mostly he avoided any kind of objective stereotypes.
Another closer friend around about the same age who was always spiritual spoke of women as mysterious witches and spell casters. There was always talk of magic and mystery in his dealings with women he met. Then you have other friends who dish out stories with women with backsides that would take up two car seats and breasts that might be hard to get through doors. What I find funny is that these extremes are quite commonplace on platforms.
One is this spiritual utopia and the other is like quality meat in cling wrap. Yet it doesn’t exist in reality, even young women on the bus for example can’t get an arse that size or a dress that flowing or a look that spiritual or carnal. Imagination has to play the main role and most people have to live in their heads to get to either extreme. The stories then though real are the archetype and you don’t actually deal with that reality.
People think that they are in that reality, I mean the Instagram stories and the extremes from arse to spirit but is your arse or spirit on that ideal level? Most people believe they are on that level but reality is not thought. Reality happens on its own. Reality just happens and you don’t have to force it or chase it. Most people get stuck in the rut of ‘is it on that level or is it not on that level?’. They never really let things be.

It is the western yoga my friend. We as a peoples don’t like to live and let live, we are not famous for being ascetics like the asians and bring the god head down to our playfield with all the resulting glory and horror and demand life more life!
Its not in our constitution to depart this world quietly on the stroke of midnight leaving the world untouched. There is as much good to be found in this as there is in the others. We just happen to be here at this time when it played out bad.
ahem… good potentials that unfortunately in this cycle we never developed to their full potential.
