Even if you have no virtue and are plain bad in every way you can still have power. Virtue and power are not mutually exclusive but virtuous power is ideal and more sustainable overall. Normally dark power asks to be paid back or else. Virtuous power never asks for anything in return. Virtuous power builds over time. People think certain drugs open doors to virtuous power but in fact no drug will ever provide virtuous power. Virtuous power is only available when there is nothing blocking it.

Power exists outside of ourselves firstly, to open the body over time lets virtue power in. Yet dark power can be triggered in a variety of ways, drugs and alcohol are the most common. In a way dark power takes time as well but not in a sustainable way. It eventually closes channels in the body, damages organs and leads people to crash. 

If you look at some popular kids superheroes they always have a suit, a button or some kind of technology that gives them power. Some people think naturally occurring psychedelics, or something outside of themselves will give them power. They are partly correct because the virtuous power outside of themselves will enter when your body is cultivated enough. Otherwise all you can get those powers from are from bad stimulants and they are negative.

There are many ways to be corrupted and to take advantage of people. Some people create an environment full of drugs and alcohol to get what they want. What they want has no end and will never truly be satisfied.
