Spray cans

Have been enjoying painting for the past few years, normally I would use premium paints for my work then from early 2014 started using non premium brands. Just today I went back to premium but used other brands for fills and lines. The premium brands as they are low pressure soft caps require more patience and attention to detail but then using a more line friendly can, you can introduce other elements. The work I did today was interesting as I brought the softness back to some detail then contrasted the spontaneous lines with that. Had been looking back at some work from 2012 where I had a lovely soft detail and I thought even though it is a little more time consuming I want to see that back in my work. The soft look really works in photos, the premium brands also have more pigment so they can look deeper but you have to shake them for a while.
