So in the process of developing some new work for a show next year, have a nice project on sunday as well which was a nice surprise will put images up when it is done pretty excited! The concept of using found computers for my work is the main driver or concept behind my work and this new show is no different. Was kind of agonising over content but realise that I could just as well make a piece with fart noises and still stay true to the core concept so that is just filler or some kind of body hung on the skeleton. So far though I have plenty of content to deliver but as usual is take it as it is rather disjointed and depends on peoples attention span more than anything. Depending on how long you engage you will walk away with a very different image as the piece is made of many small pieces that are looped with a bash script.
One work is ready to go and is the last work that has synthesised speech, video and sound altogether the second piece is far more casual and less hung up about making art or any theatrical hoo ha. Any way I have months to agonise over it and beat myself up over it all in the meantime I am making some progress.
