Most of the time when I post things of any description I normally lose followers. I am not that worried about it because platforms owned by billionaires are not reality.

I thought it would be interesting to share these psychological test patterns as I got into this stuff a few years ago. I was using a Python library called PsychoPy.

You can make far more complex test patterns but what got me was how dry and somewhat lifeless these patterns were. I started thinking about the place I worked. A kind of multi level non descript set of warehouses.

I was interested in the way the lights followed a set pattern. The concrete columns, the concrete ceiling. It was purely functional. A wall in eyeshot had paint that was badly decaying.

The whole area was absolutely boring and monotonous. The only interest was a tag here or there. People painted over the tags at times leaving an imprint that suddenly highlighted an attempt to hide something that would show an artists hand. It was like a non-descript veil. Something to hide the human touch. What was it really but oppressive and an anti-human gesture.
