Anzac day long weekend

Had little Dylan over Thursday night and it was a chill night watching YouTube and playing Minecraft, also big ups to the Chicken Wing song.

Friday morning I went to get my Mum for the weekend. I am so glad Mum is still with us. I miss Dad, my Mum is doing well but it is stressful with the renovation. My Mum is very sensitive and can be a little anxious at times. She is of the generation that never really spoke about stuff. My heart went out to her but she is actually doing well with my sister having her over.

She was good to have over, we watched a movie and listened to music from the 50s and 60s.We went to bed early Friday night and were up early, Saturday night I went to see some friends. It was great to chat and hang. I left around 9:30pm to get Michelle to her bus and Mum did well, she was asleep when I returned.I had some good chats with Michelle, I enjoyed talking to her. I find the struggles of youth something that I can remember, especially getting to know yourself and other people.

My Mum never had that work on her own inner world, I think Michelle is doing well to look at herself and try to understand the human condition.

A lot of smart people spout a lot of answers about this or that personality type but I also believe you have to let things be. Change takes time and you have to want to change. Even if you have a style with people that might be unhealthy you also have to accept it. For example a guy at work who is 30 was talking about dating and talked about trauma dumping. I had never thought of the term because I am not big on labelling things. (Labelling can be too convenient at times).

I thought about trauma bonding? People who offload are trying to bond, I can imagine like anything the results are varied. If it is circular and never satisfies the person then maybe it is an issue because it just goes round and round. Some people can deal with things other people can’t, but I believe you should accept someone for their weaknesses and strengths, that is a real relationship, a real friendship or whatever it is someone needs.
