Visionary dystopia

For years quite a while ago I would get news alerts from Google about technology and I found it interesting and inspirational. It is amazing how many projects and technologies never came to fruition. Almost over 95% of stuff I saw or read about never saw the light of the day. After a while the idea of thinking machines was doing the rounds and gaining real traction in development. I remember this around 2008 and 2009 as it inspired some of my approaches to my aerosol work.

I felt I had to be as human as possible and be ready for machines making art. By the time AI robots were painting in reality I had mostly lost interest in technology years before (2013). Mainly the narrative of the magic of technology had changed to the dystopia of technology. The main narrative had changed quite a lot and technology for me became boring. The news articles were more about particular technologies like containers, or at least tech that was business focused as opposed to visionary or experimental.
