Kate the painter came in today, she normally does Kirribilli Markets every second Sunday and fourth Saturday. She is a great person to chat with. She was saying that when she was young she always wanted to make art. She got an art scholarship then her father tore the scholarship up. Later her husband wouldn’t let her paint and after she left him she was given a busking license so she painted on the streets of Brisbane and sold small paintings. Art is her livelihood and she said the paintings build up inside her. She had to paint no matter what.
