Web threads, web threats, slippery reality

It isn’t my fault that people can’t see. I also don’t feel there is a war on my doorstep. What I mean is I live in my own space. I am not threatened by anyone in my own home. When I am on the street nobody threatens me. Nobody is trying to change my mind. Basically I try to think for myself. I don’t search for anything other than my interests.

What I am getting at is the idea of culture wars or spiritual wars, hot or cold wars. There will always be conflict somewhere. Worse still if it is within. If it’s a spiritual war then the only battle is inside yourself. Yet why the conflict? Do you know yourself enough to be at peace within? Yes there are a million nagging voices telling you what to think. Why listen to noise though?

If your sword is sharp and you feel threatened by all of the noise, turn the noise off. Be mindful because the noise, the rabble, the shitstorm or as you see it the enemy are more in your head than in your face. If they are in your face the rules change. If it is noise, a channel, something you tune into to be careful because you are more likely to cut yourself with the sword than cut your enemies.

The people you meet who seem rude, ignorant and unpleasant may be many, yet even then you aren’t there to wake them up. You have yourself and maybe a loyal audience of a few who still know how to behave decently. It is the small things that count. It is good to push yourself and make some kind of glory but don’t feel you are just here to fight. It is best to win without firing a single bullet.

If your enemies do land on your doorstep, if they break down your door and say ‘you must…you must!!!’ make sure you haven’t been trying to sharpen your ergonomic keyboard all this time. Instead of focusing on ideas and aggregated content hopefully your body was the tool you sharpened which ideally should have relaxed your mind and then you’re ready for slippery reality.
