I had a great conversation from a new friend who is from a different culture. They were saying in their country people stole to simply survive. In my cultural experience people are looked down on if they are not driven by greed. People would make a criminal business when I was a teenager just to make lots of money and blow it on bullshit. For example you could do a massive rort and make thousands then live in hotels taking drugs and going to expensive restaurants. 

You could have survived quite comfortably by just getting a job but instead decided you needed thousands of dollars coming in and lived what you thought was a wealthy life. It isn’t these peoples fault because generally money and wealth are worshipped in the culture I live in. It is sick and sad and creates criminality and so many problems. People will say some garbage like it’s great they are hustling but for what? I understand how today with crazy rents and inflation but it should never have been about being wealthy.

Never ever should have been that game, society, advertising and never fulfilled desire created this shitstorm. It has gone on for too long. Just treat everyone with respect and don’t turn good people into charity cases or would be aspiring big money criminals. All that our society wants is to fill prisons with free labour to keep the whole system coasting along. People should have been allowed to be poor and happy. Not looked down on by some ideal that generates money that goes nowhere good. People aren’t taught to respect each other and respect themselves.
