“Does it mean that graffiti writing, as a culture or movement, is all negative? No. The lessons you can learn through graffiti and the way in which you see the world, are priceless gifts among many other benefits. Becoming so industrious and utilizing one’s ingenuity from a young age has given me strong foundations for navigating the world in a way that circumvents some of the rigid rules and regulations that dictate everyday life. Problem solving, independence, being a self-starter, looking at things from different angles and perspectives, questioning authority, critical thinking, creativity under pressure, trusting your intuition… so many powerful tools that make life a little easier.”
