Heirarchy

There is always a natural hierarchy in place, at walls, at art shows, at work. People want to dominate certain positions at times, you know what let them. You will still find a place, sometimes it is better for you. Unless of course you feel that your position is right where that person is sitting. Then you have conflict. You have to weigh it up. I can think of a few art shows where people have come in to spaces convinced of their spot in the gallery and they almost apologize as they take it, but I can’t think of one show where my work hasn’t actually taken full advantage of the space I needed. I missed out on nothing I just found a spot and really made it work. I was a good player of “go” weiqi and I even think of the wall with jumbo and zap where I got locked into a small corner but I let them have it and I pulled out a burner exactly as I wanted it. Let the heroes flex but when you have your back to the wall you have more fight and you let the bastards have it. Conflict is fine when you are both on the same turf but sometimes you have to make the space your in work for you and dominate that.
